WEEK 4: EXAMINATION DAY

The examination was conducted by our teacher in a purposive communication subject. It was surprising because the exam contains three essay types and one topic outline and not like the common test that contains multiple choices. Although it's kinda difficult we take the exam seriously. The essay is all about what technologies are we going to use in our profession, why students have difficulty to learn in PowerPoint presentations and lastly is all about what are the things I can contribute to future education.



This exam is a help to us to test our knowledge and we need to face that challenge for us to grow more and more and also to be a future great educator.

Communication For Work Purposes: Corporate Environment

For the third week of the Purposive Communication class, the teacher tackled the Communication For Work Purposes: Corporate Environment, Where Communication takes place from the old to the modern way of communication. Today communication is very easy to do, because of the new technology and the internet years ago it was limited to face to face interaction if you are in long-distance communication.

The communications will be made through letters or writings where it takes time to get the response the message from the one who sends you a letter because it needs to deliver by the postman, as times goes by the telephone was developed and it brings breakthrough in the digital communication, with that you can easily contact and communicate the person you want to talk or having a negotiation with a long-distance communication but on that time it was very limited to use because few of people and  companies have a telephones.

When the telephone was invented there was a certain etiquette that was followed, for example, there are standard ways of sending messages and it must be formal and complete words especially if it is from the company. Aside of the telephone, computers are also developed on that time and it was the greatest tools for business rather to everyone, it also the biggest time killer of all times because many tasks can do through the use of computer but it is also the reason of hurting your company if you do not know how to use it especially using a company software.

Today the computer is easily used for business and for work purposes with the internet with that even if your business is small it can easily recognize trough online. It also tackle the communication policies and procedures for the Digital Age that it will help you to manage the flow of communication as well as effectively control misuse, giving the records of employees to know about the certain policies and break the rules, and aside of that it protects the company liability and help them against the negative communications and from risk.

 Electronics communication privacy acts It indicates the expand and revise deferral wiretapping, electronic eavesdropping provisions and a fair balance between the privacy expectations of the citizens and the legitimate needs of law enforcement. This act also gives the government a privilege to access communications without a warrant of citizens it is called wiretapping where usually used especially in criminal investigations.

We all know that communication gives us the freedom to understand oneself from another self, and for the work purpose of communication, the company needs to protect their credentials in civil from legal ramifications that would occur due to abusive or bad electronic communications. Strong policies and extensive training are conducted for company requirements and it is also the best way to ensure that a companies best interest possible

WEEK 2 COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY : Master of Communication

COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

The topic discussed is Communication Technology, Communication Technology is using technical equipment in communication or uses equipment system to send and receive information. On this topic, it also contains sub-topics; which are: The Communication Model, The Four Distinct Type of Communication Technology, Three Kinds of Communication Technology, Internet (Mother of Network) which includes the E-mail, Voicemail, Groupware, GPS and the AIDA Model, etc.

Participation

On the teacher's part; our teacher improve his teaching style, it's not boring at all because he has some jokes and also he gave us a challenging activity and that activity called Text the Answer using Mobile Phone. As a student, we participate the given activity but some of us doesn't have load so we group into three groups, it was challenging for us to send the answer for the first place and we learn while enjoying our Purposive Communication subject.

Learning

The Communication Model explains the flow of communication through technology it consists of the source to the transmitter proceed to transmission system proceed to Receiver to Destination. In Communication Technology it has Four Distinct Types which are Human to Human Communication, Human to Machine Communication, Machine to Human Communication, and Machine to Machine Communication aside of the types it also have three kind, The Wave Technology which is trough Electromagnetic Radiation and the best example is Signal, Second is the Electronic Technology which the communication is flown through electrical and also the information is encoded at the source, Lastly is Graphic Technology where the information is drawn or written on the paper, for example, the printed materials.

The Internet is the Mother or Networks, through the internet you can gather information using the world wide web and you can exchange message through E-mail or Voicemail. The E-mail can be sent through waves while Voicemail can be recorded and also can be sent. The groupware is programs that help people work together the best example for this is the Google classroom and The GPS (Global Positioning System) can determine your geographical location because it consists of receivers connected to the satellite. 

Communication Technology also has the AIDA Model to help your presentation or some advertisements. The AIDA stands for; A for Attention it is to quickly and grab people attention by using powerful words or inserting some pictures, I for Interest on this you can use some animations and tools to get the interest of your audience, D for Desire with this you need to give the accurate and complete description of your content, and A for Action, it can encourage your audience to participate. AIDA also is an Attitude Based Decision Process, and that's all for today.

Week 1: COMMUNICATION AIDS AND STRATEGIES USING TOOL OF TECHNOLOGY

Communication Aids and Strategies Using Tools of Technology is the topic discussed by our teacher. The topic is all about Technology (modern and old technology) and a guide for having a great presentation.

Objectives
Determine the various presentation that are commonly used. Evaluate the effective strategies in preparing and using these media when communicating.Identify the most appropriate media medium in a given speech solution and,Apply the strategies in making digital slides.

To gain some strategies to make an effective presentation.
To determine the values, communication, production, and satisfaction of the audience from your presentation.

Participation
The teacher and students have eye to eye contact just like having a conversation to each other, and as a part of students, we needed to listen and taking some important notes to gain knowledge, for teachers part they asking us some questions to make the discussion more clearly and easy to learn.

Learning's
The learning I gained will help to improve my skills in presentation and also is making a presentation. It also shows that in making the slide in media presentation has a rule like 10,20,30. These learnings will lead us to the way of having an appropriate and well presentation presented and to gain the satisfaction of our audience when we are conducting a presentation.

We end the day full of learning's from the discussion from our teachers as we learned from ourselves from everyday problems.
